With DID it's common in time the dominate personally can win the war thus merging the other personalities in to one, normal. That seems to be in within the laws of nature in those things. Lower IQ or narrow education, substandard is like the water that covers the iceberg the less you have the more rocky things get and more likely life's filter will filer them out ending up having to get a job the bottom of the barrel type if at all. It depends what it is to each person that has DID in how bad it is!
My college friend had DID and other issues. He had the wobble when he was all stirred up hostile and so it always kept him from many jobs as the workplace saw him in that condition. Or on the other hand the type that does not have their own personally who fixates on a type of personality befitting them the most. Most likely being the 1% types or in their power bubble of rich exclusive or up the ladder, a mimic type of person.

So it is best to know those types are out there loose in society more than the old "Good old country bipolar!" in states that have less support for it's people! One of the most common symptoms of DID is hearing voices, most often within the mind. Because of this, many individuals with DID are unsuccessfully treated with medications for schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders (see section on psychotic disorders).
Individuals with DID have very high rates of self-destructive and suicidal behavior and often have multiple, usually unproductive, hospitalizations for mood disorders, personality disorders, and/or psychotic diagnoses.
